Founded by Paul and Fi, Humanico was born from a realisation that traditional and single point metrics fail to capture how work actually gets done. Humanico moves beyond static data to reveal the hidden risk, potential, and real-world patterns that define high-performance cultures.
We partnered with CTO Tom Pennington along with Paul and Fi to bridge this gap—refactoring fragmented codebases into a cohesive, high-performance ecosystem. A deep-tech collaboration focused on operationalising Tom’s architectural vision and ensuring the platform meets the rigour of Fortune 500 requirements.

Challenge
Humanico had successfully validated their core concepts, but as they moved toward enterprise scaling, the technical "surface area" needed refinement and completion.
Development Stagnation
The Manager Portal sat at 50% completion, requiring a complex build-out of high-fidelity pages and the underlying API logic.
Technical Rigour
The existing codebase required a "stress-test" review to ensure it could handle the concurrency, security, and performance demands of large-scale AWS deployments.
The Visibility Gap
While the platform was brilliant at showing client data, internal staff (the "Humanicans") lacked a central command centre to manage the growing ecosystem, leading to manual workarounds and data silos.

Delivery Framework
We moved beyond simple "feature building" to act as a production-ready extension of Humanico’s engineering team.
Part 1: Production hardening and the Human experience
We initiated a rigorous design and code review to eliminate technical debt.
Refactor: Re-architected the React frontend to improve state management and responsiveness.
Security: Hardened backend integration points and optimised data fetching for low-latency performance.
Deployment: Managed the transition to a UAT environment followed by a seamless production rollout on AWS.
Part 2: Building the Employee & Manager Portal
Utilising Humanico’s core component library, we completed the unfinished Employee & Manager Experience.
Full-Stack Delivery: Developed responsive React pages and the supporting Node.js/Python APIs.
Deep Integration: Created a fluid data bridge between the Individual Employee & Manager views, ensuring the user journey felt like a single, unified OS.
Part 3: The Command Centre (Admin Portal - Underway)
The "Humanican Experience" is designed to turn manual overhead into proactive customer success.
Unified Vision: We are currently building a dashboard where a "Humanican" starts their day and instantly sees the health of their entire portfolio—spotting overdue onboarding, expiring licenses, or drops in engagement at a glance.
Operational Synergy: Integrating communication tools to allow for one-click follow-ups, automated reminders, and survey tracking—all without leaving the portal.
Part 4: Next-Gen Agentic AI (Conceptual Design)
To future-proof the Talent OS, we collaborated with Fi & Tom on the experience for an AI-powered future.
Agentic Workflows: Designing frameworks where AI agents proactively handle support triage, usage monitoring, and predictive insights.
Workforce intelligence ROI: Blueprints for AI-driven insights that flag team friction before it affects the bottom line.
